Japanese Eco Cute shipments exceed 2 million landmark

Dec. 03, 2009 - Shipments of Japanese CO2 heat pumps have exceeded 2 million units as of the end of October 2009. To mark the event, 3 Japanese industry associations are launching the "Thank you! 2 million EcoCute" campaign. In addition, a target of 10 million Eco Cute units by FY 2020 has been set.

As of the end of October, cumulative shipments of Eco Cute heat pumps running on natural refrigerant CO2 have reached 2,027,000 units, reports the Japan Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association (JRAIA). This compares a cumulative of 1,740,000 units shipped by the end of 2008.
